Urban Creek Partners reveals renderings for Bankhead Station's Quarry Yards
At our February Meeting we received and update from Urban Creek Partners. This was there first presentation since coming before the GPNA and NPU for their zoning application in late 2017. Since that time the City has approved their zoning application Joel Bowman and Jimmy Barry came to present give a brief update and bring the details and scope of the Quarry Yards project. The 70 acres mixed-use development adjacent to our Bankhead MARTA station is part of the cities Transit Oriented Development strategy to bring Live, Work, Play and density to MARTA accessible areas. This project is primed to bring 575,000 square feet of office space, retail, 300-key hotel, food hal, entertainment strip as well as 850 residential units.
All of this with the Proctor Creek Greenway and our beloved Grove Park at the center-piece. UCP has committed to engaging Grove Park stakeholders through GPNA and other public forums throughout the process. Groundbreaking could come as early as late 2018.
