D&E group in partnership with Grove Park Foundation are sponsoring financial literacy classes for Grove Park residents free of charge there were 18 attendees at last months meeting it is important that if you intend to qualify for this affordable housing initiative when it comes that you understand that all of the same credit qualifications will still apply even to those who are significantly below the AMI. Your credit score MUST be up to par to qualify now is the time well before construction begins to position yourself as a legacy resident. The retail value of the training being offered $1800. This will not be exclusive to GP residents it will be open to all of 30318.

Beltline Subarea 9 & 10 update beltline hosted a open community forum for sub area is nine and 10 which include Grove Park at the Atlanta community food bank. It was discuss the plans for the next piece of the trail how will connect what areas of importance and priority and if there been any changes the next community engagement session will be held on Saturday, April 28 sub area 9 10am-12pm sub area 10 1pm-3pm

Creekside Festival Update T. Austin
The third annual Creekside festival is fast approaching May 19 from 12 noon to 6 PM at Grove Park 799 Hortense Pl., Northwest. We are looking for vendors and volunteers please see the sign up sheets if you were interested in participating. Stay tuned for additional details at our May meeting.

Highlights: The building is in remarkably good shape for the amount of time in which it has been out of use an neglected. Top priorities are to repair the roof so it does not damage the interior any further. There is an opportunity for an addition that will serve as community space and offices. The original neon and a lot of the structural and design elements are still intact and restored if we so choose.
